Group Classes
Our Regular Classes...
Basics/Improver These classes teach the fundamental exercises, plus progressions for each client to really challenge themselves and work at their own pace within the group environment. These classes are for you if...
*you are new to exercise
*you've never done Pilates, are in your first few terms of practicing or practice less than once a week
*you've been told you need to develop your "core" strength or have been told to try Pilates by your G.P. Physio or Osteopath
*you have an injury (serious injuries need the consent of a medical practitioner)
*you've recently had a baby (you'll need the consent of your midwife before you begin)
*you simply want a slower paced class!
Improver/Intermediate These classes builds upon basic Pilates principles. Ideal for clients with two or more terms of practice at Basics / Improver level who can easily practice these exercises with ease, precision and without fatigue. Think more reps and one exercise moving into another to develop stamina. New Intermediate exercises will also be introduced to challenge you further. .
Rise & Shine! Rise and Shine with these morning workouts, designed to blow the cobwebs away. Exercises will start off slowly and gently, gradually building pace and energy, awakening you and leaving you ready to start the day!
Back Pain Pilates A slower paced class suitable for all, taught by a Level 4 Low Back Pain specialist instructor. Exercises are specifically designed for the management and prevention of chronic low back pain, although may also be beneficial if you suffer from shoulder or neck pain. You must not have any acute pain when attending classes. See Back Pain Pilates for more information
Pilates Plus Resistance This mixed ability class will incorporate small weights (0.5-2kg hand and ankle) and stretchy therabands to add resistance to familiar Pilates exercise, to promote muscular strength and endurance. Great for anybody who wants to "feel" they are exercising! Perfect also for those seeking to maintain or even improve bone density
To book with My Local Pilates:
All classes must be pre-booked via the Online Booking system. Please see Timetable for the schedule and location. See the Teachers page for our teacher profiles. All Clients must complete and return a Health Questionnaire at least 24 hours before attending the first class. This allows the teacher time to review the form in advance of the class starting, and allows the class to start on time. This can be filled in here and submitted online.

Refer a Friend and if they purchase a Class Pack, you'll receive a 1 class credit! Just let us know your friends name and a 1 class credit will be added to your account.
