I started going to Pilates classes in my mid-20s, initially to support a friend who was experiencing back pain and it has remained a constant in my life since. I love the mindfulness of movement in Pilates and the structured, holistic approach which allows us to develop a greater body awareness. This means that we can respond to what our mind and body needs and work accordingly, whether that is to improve how we breath, our posture, co-ordination, increase strength, mobility, flexibility, stamina.
I'm a qualified Pilates Matwork Teacher with a L3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates after completing my training with Allison Swan. I am a member of the Independent Pilates Teacher Association and adhere to their Teacher’s Charter. I continue to learn by going to classes and workshops, reading the latest research articles and participating in additional courses such as:
