Alex Marshall, Teacher
Having experimented with many exercise disciplines and sports, Alex eventually found Pilates when a friend dragged her along to a class that promised seemingly endless benefits from improved posture to a slimmer tummy and much more. It wasn't long before she noticed the amazing physical and psychological benefits herself and found herself raving about it to anyone who would listen! It became a big part of her life and with this passion came the need to know more. The idea of being able to teach and inspire others blossomed and Alex went on to complete her teacher training with the highly regarded Body Control Pilates in 2014.
Coming from a background as a working professional in the City, Alex understands the challenges of looking after your body whilst also leading a hectic, often stressful lifestyle. Her classes aim to make Pilates accessible, relevant and engaging. Dynamic and challenging whilst remaining mindful and controlled, the classes are designed for you to enjoy movement for movement’s sake and redress in-balances in the body. You will leave feeling lengthened, strong, relaxed and centred with an education on how to bring good movement practices into your everyday life.
Alex works with clients of all ages and abilities and is also qualified to teach pre and post natal Pilates
Alex is fully insured and holds a CPR first aid certification. She is a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) and the Body Control Pilates Association (BCPA) and is bound by their respective Code of Practice.
